Frequently Asked Questions

Is it dangerous?

No, standard hypnotic procedures are completely safe.

Will I lose control?

No, at any time you could decide to get up and walk out of the room, your unconscious mind will always keep you safe.

Will you make me cluck like a chicken? (lol)

Not unless you want to - seriously though that type of hypnotism belongs purely on the stage. Hypnotised clients fully adhere to their usual moral standards. The NCH (National Council of Hypnotists) does not allow stage hypnotists to become members.

What is trance?

Have you ever driven the car to work, and when you got there couldn't remember going around a particular roundabout or through some traffic lights? That's trance. Each and everyday we go in and out of trance thousands of times voluntarily. It's when we become lost in our thoughts, and the unconscious mind performs the task it has learnt without us noticing it.

Isn't Hypnotherapy just brainwashing?

No, extensive research by the Russians and Chinese over many years established that victims could not be brainwashed merely using hypnosis. Other less subtle methods had to be used such as torture, deprivation and drugs before any proven reults could be found.
