Reiki
Reiki is a gentle but powerful form of hands on healing. It uses universal energy, which over many years has been given various names in different continents and cultures. It is called Prana in India, Ruach in Hebrew, Barrak in Islamic countries and Ch'i in China. The Polynesian Hunas call it Mana and in Japan it is called Ki, and it is from this the word Reiki is formed.
Reiki Healers receive "attunements", they have their body's energy channels opened up and attuned so that they not only receive an increase in Ki for their own healing, but become connected to the source of all universal energy (Ki) to enable them to become a channel for this universal healing energy.
Reiki is not a reilgion or affiliated with any reiligion, however, Reiki Healers do accept the Reiki Principles:
- Just for Today, I will give thanks for my many blessings
- Just for today, I will not worry
- Just for today, I will not be angry
- Just for today, I will do my work honestly
- Just for today, I will be kind to my neighbour and every living thing.
Reiki is continually changing and evolving, I follow the Mikao Usui tradition and am continually learning and experiencing new things. I still have much to learn, I have attained the level of Reiki Master.
